Recognising the need for a welcoming place of worship, genuine Islamic education, and a supportive community network in Halifax, Islam Halifax was founded to share the true message of Islam, rooted in faith, compassion, and unity, free from cultural or sectarian influences, and open to everyone.

Since 2012, Islam Halifax has been serving the community through:

We have been renting the building on Hope Street since 2012, with the future occupancy of the building becoming uncertain, it is now time for us to look for a permanent home. By the grace of Allah SWT, Islam Halifax is entering a new phase with renewed energy and commitment, focused on revitalising and enhancing our services for the benefit of our community. We are actively looking to purchase a commercial building in the central Halifax area to transform it into a purpose-built Masjid and Community Centre.

Fundraising Target

We have set the target for this project at £250,000 . This amount will Insha'Allah, help us secure a suitable property and allow us to carry out essential works to make it a fully functioning Islamic Community Centre/ Masjid.
